Limited Layers

This weeks challenge at Hiding In My Craft Room is Limited Layers, That is 2 layers only!!! This was a hard one for me as I love to layer up my cards. I decided that the best idea is to try a guys card for this theme as they prefer card with limited fuss!!

This card came together so quickly when I worked out what I was doing. The hot air balloons are from Hampton Art, and the background paper is from My Minds Eye spots and dots.

The twine and stamp sets are from K Andrew Designs and the sets are Guy Talk & Sweet July

Super Scraps

It is Super Scraps day at Hiding in my Craft Room this week YEAH!!! Time to get into that scrap container and see what you can use!!

I have recently purchased this MFT stamp and die set and I knew that I needed scraps to make the hot air balloons so...perfect time to make this card!!

Now I really have no idea what any of the papers I have used are...sorry, but they are all scraps!!
Even the background is from the scrap bag, I have used it quite a bit and this was the last bit of this sheet, except for a bit with a bird on it, will have to find out a way to use that scrap up!

The hot air balloons are from the My Favourite Things The stamps set is called Up Up and Away and it has a coordinating die of the same name.

The Sentiment is from K Andrew Designs stamp set Guy Talk and this stamp set has wonderful sayings for guy cards, and we all know how hard they can me to make!!

Now it is your turn to get out your scraps and show us at Hiding in my Craft Room what you can do!!

Sunshine

Today is our colour challenge day over at Hiding in My Craft Room The colours we used are Yellow, Green and Bright Green

Now these are not colours that I would normally use but I stepped out of my box and tried something new!! Here is what I have come up with

It ended up being a very happy card and I love it!! The Sun Burst is totally inspired by Andrea Walford from Paper Crafts Library where I found a template for the sunburst, it was so much fun to put together, and I will be using it again!!
All the papers are scraps from my scrap bag and I think they came together nicely!! The ribbon is from Stampin' up.

The sentiment is from K Andrew Designs stamp set Guy Talk

Just click on the stamp set and it takes you straight to the store

Masculine Card

Today is another a new Challenge over at Hiding in my Craft Room and this challenge is a Masculine challenge...I know these are the hardest kind of cards to make!!! I think it's because we like to make pretty things, or at least I know I do!!

So for this card I have used a saying as the title and this gave me a great base for the card.

Then I have used Cricut George and Basic Shapes for the oval-ish shape. All the papers are from Kaisercraft, The title was covered with Kindy glitz to give the black a little something!!
The black "buttons" were from a button pack I brought at spotlight, they seem to have missed the button press and luckily they are just perfect for a man's card!!

The Happy Birthday is from two sets of stamps from K Andrew Designs stamps sets Guy Talk and Sweet July Both sets have excellent sentiments on them and are wonderful for all year round not just Father's Day and July 4th and we all need "Guy"cards in our stashes!!
