A Sweet Hello

Here is my latest for the Scrappy Moms Stamps Terrific Tuesday Challenge. This one we had to use Preserves but I do not have that one, so I used Wrap it Up. Not a cart that you think of when you think fruit & vegies but there was this very nice apple on it, so that I used it!!
The base layer is DCWV the garden stack, the strips is from a very old pack that I have, I love it and thought it worked well. I used lemon drop bakers twine from Scrappy Moms as well as A Sweet Hello stamp from their Something Sweet stamp set.

I love the peachy keen stamps & I used the Wide Eyed Kids face assortment for the cute face on this card. A little inking on all the pieces using a pumpkin spice color.

I love doing these challenges, I hope to have another tomorrow.

Goody Gumdrops

Today I was in need of a fun card for my uncle's birthday, and Emma at My Creative Time is having a Throwback Thursday challenge using "Just Because Cards" or "Wild Card" this was easy as I only have "Just Because" and my uncle sells sweets at markets so it seems very appropriate. On to the card!!

Now this card was made using some weird items the embossed background once was the back of one of the Santa chocolate stockings, that I then embossed with the "spots and dots" Cuttlebug folder. Then the purple square was the side of a bag from the jewelery shop I got a birthday gift in!! As all the colors fitted perfectly I used them, and I think it worked!! I used Kindy Glitz on the gum drops.

4th of July

Today's post is 4th of July inspired, seeing as we don't celebrate American Independence Day here in Australia, I decided  to make a card for the Scrappy Moms Terrific Tuesday Challenge that was inspired by the 4th!! The challenge was to use the Stand and Salute Cartridge, but I don't have this one so I have used A Child's Year.

I used plain card stock for the card and layers, then embossed the bright blue using "Starry Night" embossing folder. I  used the Scrappy Moms Stamp set Happily Ever After "when you wish upon a star" stamp using the masking technique, I heat embossed the phrase and the stars using silver embossing powder. The star and ribbon are random ones I found in my stash.
