Gingerbread Day

Welcome to Erica's Craft Room

25 Days of Christmas,

with 25 Cricut projects a day

Don't forget to stop by Erica's blog to see 24 more projects today.... and every day in December mycricutcraftroom.blogspot.com

Today I have created this layout using the cricut cartridges Christmas, From My Kitchen & Storybook.

This was a wonderful day, so I wanted to keep it simple so the photos were the main focus. The papers and journal tags are from Kaisercrafts christmas range from last year "carnival".  I used the following cuts, the marquee shape is from Storybook cut in half. I then used half on each side of the double page spread. The cricut "Gingerbread" are from From My Kitchen, and the "Happy Christmas" & "Train" are from Christmas.

The sentiment that I used for this is using two stamp sets from
K Andrew Designs Sweet Christmas is from Sweet Wishes and Treat for you is from Fall-o-ween

Christmas Coffee

Welcome to Erica's Craft Room

25 Days of Christmas,

with 25 Cricut projects a day

Don't forget to stop by Erica's blog to see 24 more projects today.... and every day in December mycricutcraftroom.blogspot.com
Today I have created this card using the cricut cartridge Love you A Latte. This cartridge is wonderful for all the coffee lovers like myself!!
The bottom layer is from Kaisercraft Gypsy Sisters 6" paper pad, then I have embossed the next layer using Couture creations embossing folder "Drifting Endless". I gave this a light sand to expose a little of the white underneath.
I have then punched the lace border using a fiskars punch. The red ribbon is from the craft store Spotlight.
The Sentiment is  K Andrew Design stamp sets Coffee & Tea for You & Me and Sweet Wishes
You can't really see in the photo but I have used a glitter marker over the sentiment and it gives it a touch of sparkle. I then used Kindyglitz for the cream to finish it off!!

Check out all of  Kristal's stamps HERE!! They are really beautiful and lovely to stamp with!!

Out of this World

Welcome, today I have a card that was made for the Scrappy Moms Terrific Tuesday Challenge we are to use Mini Monsters but I do not have this cartridge so I checked it out and saw there were "dressed up" monsters so instead I have used Paper Doll Dress Ups.

The boy is cut out at 4" as is the "monster" layer. I used papercraft paper-masculine for the "out of this world" that was cut with a fiskars border punch.

The die shape is a My Creative Time Curly label die that I cut the edge off. I have then stamped "Your the best" from Scrappy Moms Simple Sentiments stamp set and the stars were random ones I had in my stash!!

I think this turned out cute and great to have a boy card on hand!!

A Country Life

Hi all, Well another Scrappy Moms Terrific Tuesday Challenge, this time we are using Country Life and I have made my card using the wonderful sewing machine cut. I love this one as I am a sewer too. So here is the card.
I have used the Cuttlebug folder Perfectly Paisley for the background and kraft cardstock for the bottom border that has been punched using a Martha Stewart flower punch. Then I used the Scrappy moms bakers twine in the cappuccino color and their Stamp set "Sweet Somethings", just love this one!!

Butterfly Flower Pot

Hi all, Well it is just about spring here in Australia, the flowers are just starting to bloom after one of the coldest winters ever brrrrr!! So for my next card for the Scrappy Moms Stamps Terrific Tuesday Challenge I made it very Spring like. We have to use Straight from the nest, So I decided to use the cute flower pot from pg 48 and the flower from pg 53.

I have also cut the Butterfly, the flower on the pot and the grass from this cart. And believe it or not this cart does not have any clouds on it, but it does have a cupcake, so in my Gypsy I removed the  sprinkle dots from the top layer and there you go clouds!! I cut them twice to give them extra demention.

I have used the Caramelo Cuttlebug folder for the embossing. Then of course Scrappy Moms Stamp "Specially for You" from the "Sweet Somethings" stamp set, I then used the Scrappy Moms twine for a cute bow on the pot.

This turned out cuter then I imagined!!

Sweet Wishes

Here is another Scrappy Moms Stamps Terrific Tuesday Challenge. This challenge was to use Nifty Fifties cart, I love this cart, it has such cool images on it!! So for this challenge I have used the dress image.
I have used the Scrappy Moms stamps set "Sweet Somethings" for the Sweet Birthday Wishes that I have then embossed. The Paper is from a paper pack  from Spotlight made by crafters choice called "Garden", and the ribbon is from the ribbon box from Big W. I finished it off with some brads in the corners. I think it turned out very nice!!

A Sweet Hello

Here is my latest for the Scrappy Moms Stamps Terrific Tuesday Challenge. This one we had to use Preserves but I do not have that one, so I used Wrap it Up. Not a cart that you think of when you think fruit & vegies but there was this very nice apple on it, so that I used it!!
The base layer is DCWV the garden stack, the strips is from a very old pack that I have, I love it and thought it worked well. I used lemon drop bakers twine from Scrappy Moms as well as A Sweet Hello stamp from their Something Sweet stamp set.

I love the peachy keen stamps & I used the Wide Eyed Kids face assortment for the cute face on this card. A little inking on all the pieces using a pumpkin spice color.

I love doing these challenges, I hope to have another tomorrow.

Goody Gumdrops

Today I was in need of a fun card for my uncle's birthday, and Emma at My Creative Time is having a Throwback Thursday challenge using "Just Because Cards" or "Wild Card" this was easy as I only have "Just Because" and my uncle sells sweets at markets so it seems very appropriate. On to the card!!

Now this card was made using some weird items the embossed background once was the back of one of the Santa chocolate stockings, that I then embossed with the "spots and dots" Cuttlebug folder. Then the purple square was the side of a bag from the jewelery shop I got a birthday gift in!! As all the colors fitted perfectly I used them, and I think it worked!! I used Kindy Glitz on the gum drops.

4th of July

Today's post is 4th of July inspired, seeing as we don't celebrate American Independence Day here in Australia, I decided  to make a card for the Scrappy Moms Terrific Tuesday Challenge that was inspired by the 4th!! The challenge was to use the Stand and Salute Cartridge, but I don't have this one so I have used A Child's Year.

I used plain card stock for the card and layers, then embossed the bright blue using "Starry Night" embossing folder. I  used the Scrappy Moms Stamp set Happily Ever After "when you wish upon a star" stamp using the masking technique, I heat embossed the phrase and the stars using silver embossing powder. The star and ribbon are random ones I found in my stash.

Sweet Treats

This is a card I have made for the Scrappy Moms Terrific Tuesday Challenge. This time we had to use "Sweet Treats". I had a 30th Birthday so I already had this in mind. I think it came out pretty nice!!
It is a double swing card that has the cake on the front and 30 on the reverse side. I used blue spotted Doodlebug paper that I have had forever and My Memories for the Yellow candle paper. I then  used Stickles and Kindy Glitz for the number and "icing" and Liquid pearls for the flower centers. The flowers on the cake are cut from "Simply Charmed"
I used my Fiskars scallop punch and the "Scrappy Moms Stamps" - Simple Sentiments "Make A Wish" stamp, love these!! The flowers are from a EK success punch.

Well I think that is it for this one,
Have a crafty day!! Cheers Jennie

Under the Sea

Hi There,

This card is for my Pop's birthday next month, and seeing that he doesn't even know how to turn a computer on I am safe to post this lol!!

I have made this card for the scrappy moms stamps Terrific Tuseday Challenge using the cartridge "Life's A Beach". I decided this was the perfect time for a mens card I can use for my Pop.

I used my Gypsy for this card and all cuts were made at 2.5", I then used scraps for the sea bed and "Scrappy Moms Stamps" - "Simple Sentiments". I used the "Peachy Keen Everyday Faces" for the submarine windows, aren't they adorable!!

Have a Crafty day!! Cheers Jennie

The sentiment "Hugs and Kisses" is from the Scrappy Moms Stamps  "Simple Sentiments", although I think the new "Happily Ever After" fits perfect with this cartridge. My next purchase!! The paper is Kaisercraft 6x6 paper pad "Bubblegum Hills" and the ribbon is from spotlight.
