Owly Hoot Delight

Welcome to the Simply Sunday Challenge at Getting Cricky
The theme is: Give a Hoot: use an owl and in honor of Earth Day, something recycled on your project
Ok, I have an confession, I have been on holidays the past fortnight, and the only things I brought with me were a few CC Designs stamps, to practice my coloring and some K Andrew Designs Stamp Sets, so for the last few posts I have only used these supplies. Now the card that I had made for this Challenge post was a Cricut Owl, all finished and just needed a sentiment. As I had already packed my stamps I grabbed the card an thought I put it in my bag....BUT NO it must be at home cause it is not here with me.....so I had to make do with the supplies I have... SO after that story here is my card.....

I Have used an Owl, just in a bit different way!! As he was the only one who got to come on holidays with me he had to go atop of Mushroom Girl, she is a CC Designs stamp, and the OWL is from the K Andrew Designs Stamp set Hoot Owl Image Stamps

Now the recycled part of my card has 2 elements. First is the ribbon at the top, while we have been on holidays my daughter was playing in the park and found this ribbon on the ground, she promptly brought it to me in case it was "a good find" for our crafting!! I'll say it was, it fitted perfectly, so recycled ribbon!! And the second is the fake Kraft cardstock that I have used as the base is actually the inside of the Caramel Coffee Box!!

I thought the clever part is the bit across the bottom is the top tabs from the box!!

The rest of the card is made from Kaisercraft paper pad "Tiny Woods" that is just new out and it is full of owls and woodland stuff!!

Then to finish it off I have used the K Andrew Designs Stamps set Owly Hoo Sentiments  and added this to the card, not bad for limited supplies and some recycled things!!

So join us at Getting Cricky for this challenge, can't wait to see what you create!!

Have a Crafty Day, Cheers Jennie

Celebration Time

Welcome all to the Simply Sunday Challenge at Getting Cricky.

In case you didn’t know, each stamp set benefits charity. At least $1 per stamp set goes to help the charity noted on the stamp set package. Currently Kristal supports the following charities: Cancer Angels, Storefront Shelter for Homeless Children, Intrepid & Fallen Heroes, E. Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation, Doorways Shelter for Women & Children (Domestic Violence), Wayside House for Women, Camp Good Days & Special Times, Adopt a Classroom, and Autism Research Institute. In addition, Kristal personally donates $1 from each set sold and over time believes this will add up to some wonderful miracles for these special people. You can feel good knowing that each time you purchase a K Andrew Designs Art stamp set, someone around the country is receiving some good help!
K Andrew Designs Art Stamps also stimulate the broken and wounded economy because they are all made and assembled in the USA! This is hugely important to Kristal and ensures not only that product materials are safe, but that jobs are being provided and maintained in America. Learn more about these stamps by visiting K Andrew Designs.

On to todays challenge.. it is "Its A Celebration". So I decided to make a generic celebration card that could be used for anything like a graduation, new job, or a birthday card. It just celebrates you!!

For this card I have used 3 K Andrew Designs stamp sets

Positive Thoughts

Hooty Owls
K Andrew Designs
Hoot-a-Accessories

The stamp sets are Positive Thoughts, Hooty Owls & Hoot-a-accessories these are all available from K Andrew Designs Art Stamps. These are wonderful stamps that stamp very clearly. you can see I was able to make a "scene" from these stamps that look like it was one stamp. I have had lots of fun working on lots of different combinations.

For the background I used the Couture creations "Drink Me" embossing folder, the border punch is a very old one that I really have no idea what it is called, the ribbon is from craftworks at my local bargain shop.

Now it's your turn, head over to Getting Cricky to join this challenge..Enjoy!!

So Happy News Year.....Celebrate!!

Have a Crafty Day, Cheers Jennie
