This week at Hiding in my Craft Room it is of course Super Scraps Saturday.

This time of year is when all the boys/men in my life have birthdays, therefore I have yet another male card for you

Can you tell the boys in my family ride motorbikes, they love them, so I had made a few of these bikes for these occasions and into the scrap bag they went just waiting to be made into cards when I needed them.

This  cut is from the Cricut cart Groovy Times and the embossing on the background is from the Cuttlebug folder Diamond Plate

The sentiment is from the K Andrew Designs Stamp set Guy Talk, and this one is currently on sale at  60% off
Now into the scrap box you go and create with your scraps for this Hiding in my Craft Room Challenge #71!!

What 3 Colours Will I Choose

This week at Hiding In My Craft Room we are using our 3 favourite colours, so I must first say my 3 favourite colours are Pink Purple and Orange, but I didn't think that would work with this wonderful digi stamp I was given from The Stamp Society For this challenge, So I decided to use my favourite combination for cards...RED WHITE & BLACK, I think these colours make a very stunning combination

The Digital Image from The Stamp Society was designed by the very talented Mitzi Sato-Wiuff and the Thinking of you stamp from the Australian company Stamp-it fits perfectly with this image!!

I have made this an easel card, that will fit into a square envelope
For instructions to make an Easel card go HERE

To keep the easel open, I have used a combination of Stampin' Up and Kaisercraft stamps. The paper is from Bella! Oriental chic paper pad available at Spotlight in Australia.

I really enjoyed doing this challenge, fun to use an image that I would not normally be drawn to, but I really love this one!!
Please take a look at what the rest of the Design Team have come up with for this challenge. They are a truly inspiring team!!

So now it is your turn to enter this colour challenge at Hiding in My Craft Room Challenge #70!!

I am entering this into the Simon Says Challenge - Thinking of you

Have a Crafty Day, Cheers Jennie

Disney Blog Hop

Welcome to the First Annual Blog Hop for...

Rett Syndrome Awareness

Your first stop should have been at Robin Lane's Blog, if you did not start there please go back to the beginning...

What is Rett Syndrome? Rett Syndrome is a devastating neurologic developmental disorder that occurs almost exclusively in girls. It is usually caused by a mutation of the MECP2 gene on the X chromosome. Rett Syndrome is found in all racial and ethnic groups throughout the world, and in every socioeconomic class. Rett Syndrome affects 1 in 15,000 female births.

Early developmental milestones appear normal, but between 6-18 months of age, there is a delay or regression in development, particularly affecting speech, hand skills and coordination. A hallmark of Rett Syndrome is the repetitive hand movements that may include seizures, irregular breathing, swallowing difficulties, and curvature of the spine. Many individuals with Rett Syndrome live well into adulthood.
There is currently no cure.

To raise awareness of this syndrome we are having a Disney Theme for our Blog Hop.

For my card I have decided to use one of the Disney Princesses, and not a frilly glittery one, but a strong independent one, Yes of course it is Pocahontas!!

Pocahontas is one of my daughters favourites, and insisted that I make her!! She is from the Cricut Cartridge Dreams Come True.
This cart is a must for any Disney Princess Lover.

The paper I have used are Kaisercraft Tiny Woods and the sentiment is from K Andrew Designs stamp set Positive Thoughts. (This set is currently 60% off) It fits perfectly with Pocahontas, she was the weaver of her own dreams!!

I used a glitter pen on the sentiment to enhance the sentiment, you can just see it in the photo above but looks so much better in person !!

We will have two lucky winners from this weekends blog hop.
You must be a follower of... http://create-a-latte.blogspot.com/

Being Thankful

This week at Hiding in my Craft Room we are very Thankful...Yes that is the challenge Thankful or Thanksgiving.

We were lucky enough to have one of the DT members Naomi from Creative Bug on the Loose give us all this lovely image to use for this week. So adorable!!

I coloured her using pencils, I also decided to use a lighter version of her so you can not see the stamp lines, this is called no lines colouring. Everything else was in my scrap tray, though I am sure the paper is from a paper pack from K-Mart in Australia.

The sentiment is from stampin' Up that one of my dear friends gave me last year for Christmas, love this saying!!

It is your turn now to be Thankful and show us your projects at Hiding in my Craft Room Challenge #69 and see what the others in the Design Team have done with this little girl!!

Have a Crafty Day, Cheers Jennie
